NY AVA shall promote professionalism and strengthen leadership in volunteerism in the New York City Area by: organizing regular local professional workships, seminars, etc.; encouraging educational opportunities for persons interested in the field; advocating for the field of volunteer administration and the effective management of volunteers; providing networking opportunities for members.
