Mission Statement

Our mission is to promote the right of every low-income person to save, borrow, invest, acquire assets, enhance their money management skills and enter the financial mainstream.

Description

NYCNAC was established as a nonprofit organization in 2000 to address the need by New York City's low-income residents for affordable and comprehensive financial services. To accomplish our mission, NYCNAC leverages the participation of the city's leading community development credit unions and provides them with operational, financial and technical assistance. NYCNAC serves Brooklyn Cooperative, Lower East Side People's, Neighborhood Trust and Union Settlement Federal Credit Unions, which together have $45 million in total assets and 23,000 members.
