Mended Little Hearts provides hope and support to families and caregivers of children with congenital heart defects. When a child is diagnosed with a heart defect/heart disease, families and caregivers may think hope is lost. Mended Little Hearts--Richmond is a local cgroup of a nationwide organization for parents, caregivers, and families of children with heart defects/heart disease. We provide resources and a caring support network to help families work through overwhelming emotions, navigate through the maze of vital medical decisions, and move forward to find laughter, healing and hope.
More than 32,000 infants (one out of every 125 to 150) are born with heart defects each year in the United States.
