Mission Statement

Our mission at Youth Villages is to help children and families live successfully.

Youth Villages helps more than 11,000 emotionally and behaviorally troubled children and their families each year in Alabama, Arkansas, Massachusetts, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and the District of Columbia.

  • More than 90 percent of the children in our care come from families who have income low enough to qualify them for state aid.
  • While we help children from birth to age 22, the majority of the children who receive services from Youth Villages are between 12 and 17.
  • Slightly more of our children are male than female.
  • Sixty percent are Caucasian; 35 percent African American.

Youth Villages routinely over-works it's staff. The time card says they work 42.5 hours. But plan on working at least20% more hours without extra pay. They forced my daughter to work 67 hours last week and drive 1,100 miles. They wanted her to do paperwork on top of that. Their staff turnover is 300% because of abuse of how much they work their staff. You decide if you want to work at an organization that treats its employees this way
