Mission Statement
The Colorado Renewable Energy Society (CRES) is a nonprofit membership organization that works for the sensible adoption of cost-effective energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies by Colorado businesses and consumers.
Description
CRES holds regular educational events throughout the state. It holds the Colorado Renewable Energy Conference each summer that summarizes activities and new opportunities. It annually awards Colorado builders, architects, engineers, and building owners for innovative use of renewable energy in their buildings. And it organizes the Colorado Tour of Solar Homes the first weekend in October when thousands of homeowners visit solar homes in their towns and neighborhoods and learn about the benefits of solar energy. CRES also holds monthly meetings with a variety of speakers on renewable energy topics to educate its members.
