Family Service, Senior Resource Center

Description

Founded in 1911, Family Service is the oldest private social service agency in Champaign County, Illinois and has provided continuous service to families and individuals for almost 100 years.

The Senior Resource Center offers one number to call for seniors and their families. Seniors 60 years of age and older are supported in maximizing their independence and linking to community resources through a menu of services: Meals on Wheels, Senior Transportation, HomeCare, Counseling and Advocacy, Outreach , Caregiver Support, Senior Protective Services, and Information and Referral. Many seniors in Champaign County make use of more than one of these services. Almost all services are provided in the senior's home, or by advocating for the senior at agencies in the community.
