The Makenna Foundation

Description

The Makenna Foundation has raised over $800,000 for Kentucky Children's Hospital since it's inception in 2001. We have have donated the following:

Makenna's Wall-A three dimensional wall made out of handcrafted pottery tiles made by children of KY.It spans 40 feet in length and it is positioned at the entrance of KCH(Kentucky Children's Hospital). It's a quiet, theraputic place for a paret to take their child when the toys are put up for the night.

Pediatric Bronchoscopes-Purchased to help with the diagnosis of pediatric pulmonary diesases.

Therapy Sedation Center-The treatment center is equipped with state of the art technology to complete the successful and comfortable treatment of children needing blood transfusions, chemtherapy, and other treatments requiring sedation.

The Makenna Foundation has made a promise to complete the Pediatric Emergency Care Center. To date we have given $250,000 of our 1 million dollar commitment. The facility will treat over 15,000 annually.
