Description

Founded and directed by Chad Michael Hall, MULTIPLEX DANCE is an LA-based modern dance company that integrates athletic and acrobatic movement vocabulary with digital media and electronic music. Existing at the crossroads of the visceral and the virtual, the creative work of MXD is a roller coaster ride of tumbling, rolling, sliding, pivoting, inverting, rebounding, launching and flying through worlds inspired by super heroes, video games, and cyberpunk science-fiction.

MXD is redefining audience engagement in our unique brand of INTERFACE Productions. Utilizing cell phones, social media and seating in the round, we are inventing a new concert dance experience that embraces the digital extensions of identity, interaction, and consciousness that are reshaping our world.

MXD is also in-progress developing youth and community programming that utilizes mobile devices to inspire movement, choreography and group creative projects- using phones and tablets to get people into their bodies rather than removed from them.
