The Community Foundation Partnership, Inc. (CFP) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization which provides administrative services and streamlined governance to its members, in order to efficiently further their charitable missions for their local communities. Current members of the Partnership are the Lawrence and Martin County Community Foundations.
The core mission of the Martin County Community Foundation is to build permanent funds and to distribute income from those funds to projects, organizations, charitable needs and civic endeavors that will enhance the quality of life for the people of Martin County, Indiana. This mission is being accomplished by providing a unique professional service, one of continuity for donors, in an equal and non-partisan fashion. The foundation strives to understand local needs and seek creative solutions to meet those needs through commitment of long-term capital as well as taking advantage of sharing expertise in resource development.
1. Attracting charitable donations (i.e., permanent endowments and special projects). 2. Managing charitable funds wisely and efficiently, for the purposes in which they were donated. 3. Helping donors turn their charitable wishes into reality. 4. Responding creatively to the emerging and changing needs of Martin County . 5. Working cooperatively with other charitable organization serving the county to enhance their programs by providing a permanent funding stream through designated or unrestricted endowments. 6. Provide a local, non-partisan organization, to serve as a resource for area institutions.
Generous, community minded individuals in Lawrence and Martin Counties and beyond, have seen the value of giving through their local Community Foundation. By working together for the betterment of our communities we have grown the endowments that provide a perpetual stream of funding resources for future generations.
Collectively, we have granted more than $4 million dollars into our communities, and have been responsible for bringing millions more into our communities through our collaboration and leadership efforts.
