Description
Chores & More Program provides minor home repairs, seasonal chores, and housekeeping to Anoka County residents age 60+. This program provides needed support to those seniors living with chronic or terminal illnessses, those returning home from recent hospitalization, as well as providing much needed assistance and relief for their caregivers. Chores & More also helps clients to remain living independently. Services include minor home repairs, housekeeping and seasonal chores, such as routine mowing and snow removal, and raking in the spring and fall. The Anoka County community also benefits from the Chores & More Program, as it assits clients facing issues of compliance to local ordinances as well as providing employent opportunities for youth and adults. Chores are completed by private/independent contractors and volunteeers. All independent contractors are interviewed and have provided a personal reference; and all those over 18 years old have passed a BCA background check. Clients pay a suggested donation amount at a lower, more reasonable rate that those charged in the marketplace.
