Mission Statement

Eagle Tail Mountain Wolf Sanctuary, a non-profit organization, dedicates itself to providing a safe haven for sick, injured, and abandoned wolves and wolfdogs.

The current attitude in many areas of the country dictates that "any animal brought into Rabies Control suspected of being part wolf must be destroyed - no exceptions".

Goals

  • Provide a safe and caring environment for our rescued animals
  • Stop breeding-for-profit and private ownership of wolves and wolfdogs, particularly in urban areas
  • Increase public support for wolf rescue facilities and wolf release projects
  • Create an educational center where people can learn, share knowledge, and most of all - enjoy the love of the wolf
  • Provide education and experiential learning for our visitors and volunteers

The animals who live among us are loving ambassadors who have much to teach us about ourselves and our environment if only we humans can open up and listen with reason.

Would you recommend Eagle Tail Mountain Wolf Sanctuary?

This is an amazing place that Kelly and Pat have for these awesome animals. We are so lucky to have them in Tonopah. I am so pleased to be allowed to volunteer with such beautiful creatures.

Kelly and Pat provide a safe, loving home for animals that may not have had a chance otherwise. Most of the wolf/dogs at the sanctuary are loving and sweet and absolutely thrive off the interaction. For me, there's no better way to have an exchange of unconditional love! I highly recommend the sanctuary as a volunteer opportunity to anyone who loves big dogs.
