Mission Statement

Our mission is to empower filmmakers and audiences through film and new media. We do this by producing an annual international film festival every June, developing educational programs for local and statewide students and programming special film events throughout the year. Join us in June 2008 as we celebrate our 5th anniversary!

Description

The Institute's flagship program is the annual Jackson Hole Film Festival, occurring early every June and featuring independent films competing over 8 different categories including: World Program, Features, Documentaries, Shorts, Global Insight, Sports Action, Student Voices and Audience Choice Award.

The 2008 Festival, June 5-9, will screen approximately 80 independent films. Provocative forum discussions and lively evening events enrich the Festival and give festival goers the opportunity to interact with filmmakers in a casual setting.
