Description

FCHC is a private, nonprofit, tax-exempt 501c3, consumer directed, health care delivery corporation, designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), and is accredited by the Joint Commission for Accreditation on Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). FCHC received Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) recognition in 2014.

FCHC was established in 1976 to serve the medically needy and farmworker populations in the South Central Florida counties surrounding Lake Okeechobee, using a sliding fee scale. In addition to serving indigent and underserved populations, FCHC serves patients with private insurance including Medicare and Medicaid recipients.

In 2014, FCHC provided services to approximately 36,000 patients who generated nearly 145,000 visits. Our service area encompasses Glades, Hendry, Martin, Okeechobee, St. Lucie and Palm Beach Counties.
