Mission Statement

To match the best American and international dance, music, and performance arts with appreciative and educated audiences. To provide quality performance and educational experiences reflecting the multi-cultural riches of our society that would not otherwise be available in our community.

Description

Public performances offered at affordable prices are augmented by extensive cultural and educational outreach activities for youth and adults. Each season TITAS presents a diversity of classical, ethnic, and contemporary performers that no other organization brings to the area.

TITAS education and outreach program, ADVENTURES, serves over 3000 participants each season through master classes with visiting artists, lecture demonstrations, community and classroom workshops, and subsidized tickets provided to more than 120 education and social service agencies. Students, senior citizens, ethnic groups, and others who might not otherwise be able to attend have the opportunity to participate in the adventures of learning and entertainment through a wide diversity of TITAS dance and music. Local artists are engaged to work with the visiting artists in these activities, which are offered at no charge to the participants.

A typical TITAS season includes ten dance and music subscription events and three special events, representing a total of approximately 55,000 tickets. TITAS ticket office also provides ticketing services to small local cultural agencies and to social service agencies presenting one-time benefit performance events. For those clients TITAS handles approximately 20-25,000 tickets per year.

TITAS presents its annual season, offers its multi-county educational and outreach program, and provides ticketing service support to other organizations with a total budget of $1.5 million and an experienced and talented full-time staff of 9 people.
