Women's Power Space

Mission Statement

What if we had a space in downtown Poughkeepsie where women from around the city and around the Hudson Valley could come together, practice yoga, share stories, create art, find peace, and pursue their amazing leadership? What if we had free and low cost yoga classes available in the heart of Poughkeepsie’s business district so that women could come get some yogic self care before work, during lunch, and in the evenings? What if we had local, delicious, vegetarian and vegan food around to nourish our bodies and to promote food security?

Women’s Power Space is a collective project to open up a feminist, anti-racist, and queer community space where women feel safe expressing themselves and can run away with their dreams. Join us, and we’ll see what happens.
