Mission Statement

The City of Albany Office of Special Events and Volunteer Services plans, produces, and promotes an array of free events including fairs, festivals and concerts. The production and overall success of these events would not be possible without the help of volunteers.

We are currently seeking volunteers for all of our events.

Description

Volunteers are needed for all of our events including:

Albany Last Run 5k - Features a beautiful course through Capital Holiday Lights in the Park and a spectacular fireworks show!

Albany Tulip Festival - This three day festival brings historic street scrubbing to State Street, and the tradition of the Tulip Queen Coronation to Washington Park. This event also brings nationally celebrated musical groups to three stages within the park including a children's stage, over 100 crafters and a fine art show.

Alive at Five - This is the hottest concert series of the summer. Enjoy a summer Thursday night on the riverfront with hot music, delicious food, cold beverages and great friends!!

Father's Day Concert - Great live music and a specatular fireworks show over the Hudson River.

Albany Riverfront Jazz Festival- Albany's signature Jazz Festival continues to present a dazzling line up of the greatest in Jazz entertainment earning rave reviews among Jazz enthusiasts. Experience a fall day on the banks of Albany's Riverfront as you enjoy fabulous music, great food, refreshing beverages and fireworks to end the day.

All volunteers receive a free t-shirt for the event!
