Mission Statement

The Museum of Indian Culture is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to presenting, preserving, and perpetuating the history and cultural heritage of the Lenni Lenape (Delaware) and other Native Peoples. It accomplishes that mission through educational exhibits, cultural heritage programs, special events, and a comprehensive resource center.

Description

The Museum of Indian Culture was founded in 1980. We have over 30 years of experience providing educational programs both at the Museum and off-site. Our Resource Center contains over 3,000 books and other materials. We are situated in a small farmhouse from the 1800s, which is located in a public park with a variety of natural resources, including nature trails.

This place is filled with warm and friendly people rich with culture. The Festival I volunteered for was very exciting and informative, with lots of vendors and dancers. Volunteers got a free meal and were treated warmly. The coordinators were appreciative of my support of their organization. I am looking forward to volunteering with them again!
