Mission Statement

Breakthrough Sacramento is a six-year, year-round, college preparatory program for academically motivated students from under-resourced schools. It is also a teacher training program for talented high school and college students.

Description

Breakthrough Sacramento uses a "students teaching students" model to match dynamic high school and college students with first-generation college-bound middle and high school students. We offer 6 week summer programming for rising 7th and 8th graders with classes taught exclusively by high school and college students. During the school year we offer Weekly Breakthrough after-school tutoring and monthly Saturday enrichment trips.

I am a student there and i loved it. i know people who said they would stay there forever if possible. breakthrough is a family and a community. i would recommend this to every teen. BREAKTHROUGH ROCKSSSSSS!!!!
