Mission Statement

NAYA Family Center 's mission is to "enhance the diverse strengths of our youth and families in partnership with the community through cultural identity and education."

Description

The NAYA Family Center serves self-identified American Indian/Alaska Native youth and their families. Currently, we serve approximately 1400 youth and 600 families in the Portland metro area from over 300 distinct tribal backgrounds. NAYA Family Center provides a continuum of year round services for children, youth and adults, including middle and high school educational case management and after school tutoring, employment services, computer center, foster care, native cultural arts classes and sports and recreation. We provide domestic violence case management, crisis intervention services, parenting classes and food boxes. We are also happy to announce the opening of the NAYA Early College Academy in September 2007.
