Mission Statement

AARP Foundation TaxAide Program is the largest, free, all volunteer tax counseling and tax preparation service in the nation. Working from more than 35,000 Tax-Aide sites across America, Tax-Aide's IRS-certified counselors assist more than 3.8 million taxpayers of all ages each year to prepare and efile their federal and/or state income tax returns.

Description

AARP Foundtion Tax-Aide program seeks computer literate volunteers willing to complete in-home and in-classroom tax law and tax software training leading to IRS certification as a Tax-Aide Counselor.

Working at one of our Concord-area Tax-Aide sites, IRS certified volunteers must be able to contribute at least 8 hours per week to assist taxpayers during the Feb through April 15 tax season.

The Concord-area team of counselors prepare and efile more than 2000 federal tax returns annually, saving our clients thousands of dollars of tax preparation fees and securing more than $1,000,000 in federal income tax refunds.

Required annual training and materials provided leading to IRS certification. Online training begins in November with in-class training in early January.
