Perks: *Learning a new culture and working with high-school exchange students *A great addition to any human services or education-based resume *Family-friendly, flexible, and complements a busy schedule (10-20 Hours/Month) *Annual performance-based incentive trips (including International trips to destinations like Europe and Mexico) *Potential for growth into a management position Education Travel and Culture (ETC) is a non-profit [501(c)(3)] educational exchange organization. We recruit host families across the country for international high-school exchange students. We are looking for a part-time/supplemental income Local Coordinator to join our team! ETC Part-Time Local Coordinators (LC's): * Work closely with exchange students, host families, and local high schools including monthly oversight of the exchange student * Receive full training, teaching and ongoing support from the Field Manager * May be involved in the recruitment of volunteer host families for our international high school students Community-Minded Individuals such as Teachers, Volunteers, and Social Workers make great Student Support Coordinators! LC's may recruit host families through reverse networking, job postings, phone calls and outbound emails. You will be compensated for each host family that you recruit. Your hours will be based upon how many families you recruit and exchange students you oversee. This is an independent contractor position which enables you to work at home and within your own schedule. Qualifications: * Ability to problem solve and support students and host families during the students' program * Self-motivated, organized, well-networked within the community *Driver’s License and transportation *Ability to pass a Background Check * Recruitment skills with the ability to screen potential leads (Nice-to-have) Compensation is dependent upon recruitment efforts and student oversight. **This position provides supplemental income ONLY** We are looking for coordinators all over the U.S.! We are in search of host families in Anchorage, AK to host exchange students who are coming this August 2024! We have students available who come from all over the world: Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Vietnam, Brazil, Turkey, Paraguay and more! The requirements to become a volunteer host family are simple. A host family must provide: 3 meals a day Transportation to/from school A Bedroom to sleep and study in (Students can share a room with the same gender and similar age) Love and Support All families make great Host Families! We've had Host Families who are single moms, busy families with multiple children, same-sex couples, empty nesters, and more! Can't commit to a full school year or semester? No Problem! Consider becoming a "Welcome Family" where you host the student for a 4-8 week period, just to get the student started here. You'd be their first impression of the U.S.!
