Mission Statement

The mission of Benedict House is to provide non-discriminatory residential housing opportunities and supportive services for persons living with AIDS in an environment promoting the principles of dignity, respect, understanding, compassion and self-determination.

Description

Volunteers play a large role in resident activities. Volunteers are needed to take the residents on shopping trips to the mall or to Walmart, Target, movies and bowling, outside concerts. Benedict house provides a van for activities , along with a valid drivers license.

Volunteers also needed to talk with residents, play board games/cards, or watch movies on T.V. also assist in holiday partys for the residents eg, Halloween, Fourth of July, Foot ball games.

Volunteers are also needed for kitchen help,garden club in the summer, organizing clothing donations and work in the food storage room.
