Long Beach Search and Rescue is a Boy Scouts of America Specialist Explorer Post. Established in 1962, it doubles as a means to provide to young men and women exposure to emergency services (emergency medical services, firefighting, law enforcement) and as an on-call service to the California Office of Emergency Services. The history of the unit has seen numerous emergency responses from local police support to major environmental disasters.

Let me say first, that I would like to volunteer with this organization, but it seems that either I am blind or this page has no place or button that can pushed. I am not in a position to speak on something I do not know a lot about, I look forward to a reply or invite. Even more I would like to volunteer in different ways as well.
