Teen Parents Succeeding, Inc.

Description

Teen Parents Succeeding was founded in 1991 by a community member who recognized the potential ramifications of teen pregnancy for teen parents, their children, their families, and their communities.

Our founding objective was to provide affordable daycare so student-parents in our community could finish high school. Today, our programming has expanded to promote a broader range of educational opportunities for our students, including life skills learning and post-secondary educational support.

Our goal at Teen Parents Succeeding is to preempt the potentially devastating impact of teen pregnancy in our community through promoting the education of teen parents, their children, and their extended families.

Our programs are based on the 40 Developmental Assets from the Search Institute, and are designed to equip our students with the skills and support they need in order to care for themselves and their children and to overcome the barriers they most likely will face as teen parents.

Teen Parents Succeeding serves members of the Wawasee Community School Corporation, which includes the towns of Syracuse, Milford, and North Webster.
