Mission Statement

Our Mission and Fundamental Beliefs

Our mission and fundamental beliefs were reviewed and revised during the 1999-2000 school year as part of a ten-year study for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Students, parents, staff members, and community members--all participants in the educational process--were consulted. Our hope is that all stakeholders in the school's mission will become active participants in the educational process.

The mission of the Naples High School community--including students, parents, staff members, and community members as participants in the educational process and stakeholders in the school's success--is to provide a safe, orderly, nurturing environment in which all participants work together in mutual respect and pursuit of educational excellence:

• to promote physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development;
• to inspire individual creativity, responsibility, accountability, and achievement; and
• to foster participants' life-long learning, productive careers, responsible citizenship, and global consciousness in an ever-changing world.
