Mission Statement

Winters Lane Productions is a community based, non-profit organization dedicated to presenting the region's residents and visitors with quality theatrical productions, special events and education programs in order to make the Baltimore Region a more conscious and compassionate community. Winters Lane Productions shall provide youth and adults the opportunity both to attend and to participate in quality presentations through theatre production and management. To be recognized as a significant cultural asset, we will produce diverse and "cutting edge" productions with challenging subject matter while striving to give opportunities not otherwise readily available to the community by alternatively casting people from all walks of life. We aim to bring productions and creative themes to the Baltimore stage to which regional audiences are not generally exposed. Our work will be a bold collision of the physical, visual, and aural realms. We will redefine the rehearsal process, emphasizing experimentation outside of the industry "norms" and collaboration across the creative media. We endeavor to maintain an effective balance of both creative and business-minded professional forces committed to demonstrating exceptional training, experience and aspiration in the business of theatre and community outreach. Winters Lane Productions shall provide education in all aspects of the theater arts (theatre production and management alike) to youth and adults who wish to develop their skills in to expand on a career in the arts. We will focus on training in concentrations of dance, music, acting -- providing college preparation for high school juniors and seniors that show promise and need; as well as providing a pre-professional environment for college students and recent graduates who seek performance opportunities outside of their academic environments.
