RYTMO: Reaching Youth Through Music Opportunities

Project RYTMO is a music and music technology based program created for youth ages 14-21 who demonstrate musical, vocal, and/or technical potential in the arts. By providing a positive, creative, fun and highly relevant approach to commercial music technology and recording, you will have the opportunity to develop practical skills in which to express your creative talents, attain greater personal and scholastic achievement, and gain fundamental occupational skills for the music industry.

The purpose of Project RYTMO is to expose at-risk and adjudicated youth who demonstrate artistic potential to a positive professional environment where they can explore and develop a variety of musical and music technology skills. Classes are hands-on and involve the study of Recording Production Techniques, Live Audio/Lighting technology, Songwriting, Hip-Hop & Urban Development, Sound and Vocal Exploration, Technology, and Performance . At the same time, Project RYTMO is committed to teaching life-enriching skills such as goal setting, project planning, group interaction, and disciplined behavior that will help prepare our participants for a future career in the music industry or related careers. It's instructors and mentors are made up of highly regarded minority leaders within the community who have experience working with youth in an educational setting and have powerful professional stories that connect with our youth of today.
