­­­­­­­­ Resource Development - To manage an annual fundraising campaign in a cost effective manner on behalf of the health and human service needs of York Countians. To seek and develop alternative funding sources. Fund Distribution - To conduct a process led by volunteers, which reflects the interest of contributors and funds services of member agencies. To provide oversight and accountability for funds raised, fund distributed and results achieved. Community Initiatives - To work with the community to identify programs that positively impact health and human care problems in York County, by including a broad representation of York Countians in the activities of the United Way. To heighten the community's awareness of the United Way's role in improving the quality of life for York Countians. Volunteer Services - To serve as the central resource for recruitment, training and deployment of volunteers. To offer technical assistance to non-profit organizations and their programs.
