Mission Statement

Hello!

My name is Marco Farías and I coordinate the "Help One Student to Succeed" Mentorship Program at H. Allen Hight Elementary School. I first began mentoring students when I was a college student at U.C. Berkeley and it has been one of the most fulfilling, fun, and meaningful experiences of my life. Making a positive impact in the life of a student is one of the most powerful things that I have ever been able to accomplish. Now, I am looking for volunteers to help get new school's mentoring program off to a great start.

H. Allen Hight is a new school opening in the fall of 2008 and its mentoring program aims to become the best in the Sacramento area. To accomplish this mentors are needed to act as guides to our students in helping them to become the best students they can be.
