Mission Statement

It is the mission of the UPMC Senior Communities to create, provide and service a network of community based long-term care facilities for the area's senior population.

We are dedicated to the development of high quality service standards focused around the promotion of wellness and sustained maximum independence.

We achieve this through our full range of health care, housing and other related services that contribute to the wholeness of the body, mind and spirit of those we serve.

Our goal is to operate and manage these facilities in an ever-changing market while earning the highest levels of resident and staff satisfaction by meeting their needs and esceeding their expectations.

Description

UPMC Senior Communities is comprised of 14 long term care facilities which include Independent Living, Assisted Living and Skilled Units located throughout the Greater Pittsburgh Area. Having three different long term care levels gives UPMC Senior Communities the chance to offer more diverse volunteer opportunities for individuals looking to volunteer in a long term care setting.

Volunteers will be supervised and mentored by trained activity professionals throughout UPMC Senior Communities.
