Mission Statement

It is our duty, our honor and our privilege to promote the morale, welfare, and quality-of-life of the United States Armed Forces community, including active-duty and retired personnel, National Guardsmen, Reservists, and their families.

A moment comes in the lives of all American troops when they are asked to leave behind all that they know and love: their families, their friends and their homes. At that moment they are prepared to defend the ideals of a nation; a nation that puts its trust in its brave men and women in uniform to keep it safe, and make it proud; a nation that honors the call of duty: the hardest - but most rewarding - task in the life of any service member. At the Armed Forces Foundation, we commit ourselves wholly to serve American troops and their families, lending support in times of greatest need. It is our duty, our honor and our privilege to aid those who have sacrificed for our country.

Description

In 2001, the Armed Forces Foundation, a Washington, DC-based nonprofit organization, was established to promote the morale, welfare, and quality-of-life of the United States Armed Forces community, including active-duty and retired personnel, National Guardsmen, Reservists, and military families. The AFF has given away millions of dollars to military veterans and their loved ones by paying lodging expenses at the Navy Lodge; making homes accessible for injured Vets; purchasing plane tickets for families visiting an injured loved one in the hospital; and providing gifts for children of military families during the holidays.
