The Austin Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide variety of programs for children, adults and seniors through our parks and trails, recreation centers, senior activity centers, cultural centers and museums and art and history.

The Parks and Recreation Department connects Austinites to the places they love. From youth programming to Austin’s premier public spaces such as Zilker Park and Barton Springs pool, our department helps to share the stories that define our quality recreational, cultural, and outdoor experiences for the Austin community.
