The Cherice Cochrane Mentoring Foundation is a great place to not only volunteer but to connect to exemplary student leaders and mentors in the San Antonio Area. The organization has provided over $40,000 in scholarships to deserving high school students and has inspired and motivated over 500 students to achieve excellence and pursue education of higher learning. some students who participated in the program are now successful doctors, lawyers, educators, business owners and exemplary College graduates for others to emulate. The organization is also the only "Official Fiesta" Paid member organization who sponsors a scholarship pageant and enrichment program for young men in grades 9th-12th, "Mr. Teen San Antonio". This is unique in that students are evaluated on their academic merit, commitment to volunteerism and demonstrated leader and not on monies raised.
