Grunion Run 5K/10K

Description

Any chance you can volunteer Sat. morning, Aug. 25, if you are not planning to walk or run? We expect 200-300 runners/walkers. RSVP to JustinRudd@aol.com or 562/439-3316. Volunteers of all ages welcome. Volunteer service forms provided.

The kids run is at 8:30 and the 5K/10K is at 9 a.m. on Sat. We're completely done by 10:30. The event Web site is www.GrunionRun.com. The run/walk is on the scenic beach bike path.

I'll be at the Belmont Pool at 7:10 ready to set up. I need help then, and more at 8 a.m. to help with registration, t-shirts, refreshments, start/finish line, kids run help, water stations, course monitors, etc. I need one or two people to ride bikes along the race course, right in front of the lead runners.

Parking is free on surrounding streets or there is metered parking at the pool's parking lot, starting at 8 a.m.

PRE-RACE-DAY HELP NEEDED
Can anyone meet me at my apt. in Belmont Shore with a truck at 6:50 on race morning or the day before to help deliver (and return) supplies to the Belmont Pool's start/finish area? I have t-shirts, waters, pop-up tents, snacks, signage, etc. to be transported.

And, I'm looking for someone to post Grunion Run 8.5x11 signs around town at running stores, and coffee shops (especially at businesses along 2nd St.). I can send you the pdf file to print copies to hang.
