Preserving the past for the future.

Description

We are a small museum in the gold country that tells the history of the town of Coulterville. We show in pictures, clothing, household items, mining tools and much more how people lived during the 1800's into the 1920's. We show how people lived, worked, played and survived the gold rush. Our museum is free to the public. We encourage school tours to satisfiy California History. We do some research on the founding families.
