Mission Statement

The Griffin Sexual Assault Center works to end sexual assault in Spalding County and the surrounding area through compassionate services to sexual assault survivors and advocacy for social change.

Description

The Griffin Sexual Assault Center was established in 2000 by the Spalding County Health Department with funds provided by the Georgia Department of Human Resources. We are a trained team of volunteers and one employee who are dedicated to assisting sexual assault survivors and their families and educating our community to end sexual assault. We provide the following services:

•24-hour crisis hotline
•Information and referrals
•Educational programs for schools, community organizations, colleges and other organizations
•Training for human services, law enforcement, and school system personnel
•A small library of materials addressing sexual assault, sexual harassment, and related crimes.
•Volunteer opportunities
•Support Group
•Professional Counseling
