Mission Statement
The United Steelworkers Activist Corps is a collective of rank and file activists committed to the continuous coordination and implementation of strategic grassroots actions throughout the United States; and to the recruitment, education, and ongoing training of the next generation of USW activists.
Description
The United Steelworkers (Downtown Pittsburgh) are looking for people who are interested in volunteering with the USW Activist Corps. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in grassroots political organizing, mobilization, and human rights advocacy. As the 2008 Presidential Election approaches, the United Steelworkers are coordinating targeted, strategic actions in key political districts across the country, and our volunteers will be instrumental in bringing these efforts together.
