Sustainable Fairfax supports the philosophy that we must attend to the needs of the present without sacrificing the ability of future generations and the natural world to provide for their own needs. We are a nonprofit educational organization providing the infrastructure for all age groups in our community to work together to regenerate and preserve the social, economic and environmental well-being of Fairfax and its' sphere of influence.

Description

We are a grass roots volunteer organization working in a progressive community to support and create a strong local economy, a diverse ecology and more connected community. Our Sustainability Center houses knowledgeable volunteers and educational demonstration on best practices inside and outside a home. Come see hands-on how to reduce your ecological footprint with energy and water conservation, grow your own food, divert or compost your waste, and live in harmony with the natural world.
