Mission Statement

The National Organization for Women, New York City works to promote reproductive rights, secure women’s economic empowerment, and end discrimination and violence against women.
The NOW-NYC Service Fund is our charitable partner organization, supporting our public education and outreach efforts and providing legal help and referrals to women in need.

Description

Every day, our office receives calls from women in need of help. Which is why our chapter created the NOW-NYC Service Fund, a charitable partner organization that provides a "one-stop shop" for referrals to services across the city.
Every year, tens of thousands of New Yorkers are unable to secure the low-cost legal help they need to assist them with family law, discrimination, housing help, and other critical issues. We have been proud to help fill this gap with our legal clinics on divorce and employment discrimination.
As a partner organization, the Service Fund also supports our on-the-ground public outreach and education on critical women’s issues.
