Mission Statement

The Hush Foundation is a unique 501(c) (3) non-profit organization created to improve the quality of life for children and elderly ones by addressing issues of health, education, social welfare, economic development, and cultural development. Our mission and primary objective is to educate and help children and take care of elderly ones who are experiencing hardship and/or devastation because of the aftermath of unforeseen, catastrophic occurrences. We do this by raising funds using exciting philanthropic activities to provide financial awards to those in need.

Description

Our first initiative is the prevention of childhood obesity. To kick our first initiative, we are hosting "The HUSH Foundation First Annual Healthy Eating & Awareness Picnic" for thirty overweight children and their parents where they will experience a day of fun, healthy food, and games. The program will include information to educate children and adolescents about the danger of obesity, make them aware of the diseases related to childhood obesity (e.g., heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol), and teach them how to practice healthy eating, incorporate physical fitness in their daily activities, and make healthy choices.

The picnic will be held on September 1, 2007, at the beautiful Ernie Howlett Park, located at 25851 Hawthorne Boulevard, Rolling Hills Estate, California, 90274 in Rolling Hills Estates, California, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 P.M.
