Candlelighters of Southwest Florida, Inc.

Candlelighters of Southwest Florida, Inc. was established in 1983 and serves a five county area of SW FL. We are an affiliate of American Childhood Cancer Organization.

The Candlelighters serve over 750 families who have a child in treatment, in remission, bereaved parents, bone marrow transplant patients, long term survivors as well as the professionals who care for them. All programs and services are provided at no cost to the family.

"Cancer is not a disease of one person, Cancer is a disease of an entire family." Candlelighters helps to educate a family so they can become a better advocate for their child and make decisions based on being informed.

Other services available to registered families include pizza night, family activities, emergency funds, parent to parent networking and referrals to other community resources.

As a non-profit 501c3 charity, Candlelighters relies entirely on tax deductible donations and the assistance of volunteers to help us achieve our goals.
