Mission Statement

School Dangers’ mission is to improve school security nationwide through advocacy, education and application of technology.

Description

School Dangers was founded to improve the security and safety of school age children. We will accomplish our mission by educating the public, fostering an environment for open discussion, and by delivering services for training, planning, regulatory compliance, and improved communication between students, parents and school officials.

For example: Official after-Action-Reports for school incidents (such as Columbine and Newton CT) each identify that someone knew something or saw something that could have prevented the tragedy. They also highlight how unprepared schools are. We deliver services to make a positive change in the under served K-12 security market.

School Dangers provides amazing volunteer opportunities. I feel lucky to be part of this organization. School Dangers will implement systems and changes to truly make schools safer around the country. Working with the School Dangers team is wonderful because of the clear communication, openness to ideas, and passion about the cause. Beyond benefitting School Dangers by volunteering, the organization will benefit you greatly. I honestly learn something every single day, much of which will assist me in the future. Volunteering with this organization is an incredible opportunity to help create safer schools, and to grow personally and professionally.
