Miss Amazing Inc. was founded in 2007 in the state of Nebraska. The oganization has expanded since then and now operates in 28 states across the country. Our core event is a pageant in each state which includes interview, evening wear, and an introduction. The only cost to particpate is to bring 5 cans of food.
Miss Amazing believes in including all individuals in our programs. We do not exclude any documented disability from partiicipating. Individuals are evaluated based on their own abilities and not compared to another person. Therefore, our programs include individuals that are completly nonverbal to those that or higher functioning.
Each event we host needs from 50-100 volunteers. Volunteers assist in various duties running the pageant and others are one on one buddies with a particpant throughout the event.
Each state program is operated by volunteer state direcotrs and commitees. Miss Amazing Inc. is consistently looking for individuals to help with these duties as well.
