Mission Statement

The Alzheimer's Association is the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Our vision is a world without Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s disease is the 6 th leading cause of death in the United States affecting over 5 million people and requiring the care of over 15.5 million unpaid caregivers. Alzheimer’s disease kills more Americans than breast and prostate cancer combined, and will cost our nation over $214 billion this year alone.

Description

The Wyoming Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association was established in July 2014. We serve the entire state and offer volunteer opportunities throughout the state. We seek volunteers in the areas of community education, support group leadership, board development, fund-raising and event participation and legislative advocacy (federal and state).
