Mission Statement
The hospice program of the Visiting Nurse Association of the Inland Counties seeks fo provide exceptional care that is consistent with hospice philosophy to terminal patients and their families. An interdisciplinary team, comprised of specially trained hospice professionals, delivers care to patients wherever they call home. We strive to serve our patients, families, families, physicians, referral and payor sources as well as other healthcare providers.
Description
Volunteers become a friend to the terminally ill patient and the family. They can provide respite for the family members. Volunteers do not perform personal care and do not need to have had medical training, but do receive a 16 hour training course free of charge.

I'm the coordinator of volunteers for the Banning branch of the VNAIC. I don't know what Debra S is talking about. There is no money involved in volunteering.
