Our purpose is to serve the Bay Area community by offering the opportunity to meet the teachings of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. We provide a supportive study and practice environment to develop a clear mind and a good heart.

Description

Land of Great Compassion
Tse Chen Ling Center for Tibetan Buddhist Studies is an urban meditation, study and practice center. Tse Chen Ling was founded in 1990 and given its name [Land of Great Compassion] by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Tse Chen Ling operates under the spiritual guidance of Lama Zopa Rinpoche and is part of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT).

Tse Chen Ling also houses the Buddhist Book Cafe, a large bookstore with many titles and dharma items as well as a cafe with seating perfect for sitting, reading, or chatting.
