Mission Statement
Recycling Avenue of Avenues to Independence is dedicated to putting aside old ideas about what is possible. We work in partnership with the community to support and encourage people with disabilities to lead the lives they choose. Our success will eventually be measured by how little we are needed
Description
Recycling Avenue was launched in 2007 by two physically challenged young adults, Greg Campone & PJ Flaherty, who wanted to work and make a difference is an organization which helps to provide job opportunities for the physically challenged.
Avenues believed in their idea and provided space to put their into action. Today, dozens of recycling bins are located in businesses and communities throughout Chicagoland, including Winnetka, Wilmette, Kenilworth, Buffalo Grove, and Main Township. Our service is FREE and we do all of the pick-ups.
With the assistance of our community Recycle Avenue can help make gains on the three tenets of recycling: reduce, reuse, and recycle as well as provide jobs , educational knowledge and volunteer opportunities for the disabled.
