Clean Air Carolina

Clean Air Carolina is dedicated to air quality. Our focus relates to how air quality is directely related to human health, the local economy, and the environment. Through programs, events, education and advocacy, we work daily to connect citizens and decision makers with the benefits of clean air.

Clear the Air for Kids! This campign educates parents, students and staff regarding harmful emissions from diesel school buses, promotes no-ilding policies for cars and buses and advocates retrofitting school buses with the most effective pollution control devices.

Clean Energy & Energy Efficiency This campaign promotes a Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency Portflio Standard (REEPS) for the Carolinas which would require utilities to meet 20% of our energy needs by 2020 through the use of energy efficiency efforts and renewable sources such as solar and wind.

Climate Change: CAC advocates for promoting the U.S. Mayors Climate Protection Agreement. We also promote sustainability concepts related to clean energy, transportation, air quality and health, and environmental stewardship.
