Mission Statement
The mission and purpose of the Los Angeles Korean Festival Foundation is to celebrate racial diversity through the sharing of Korean culture to the surrounding community (including both Korean-American immigrants and non-Koreans). The Los Angeles Korean Festival is not merely a celebration of the Korean culture, but it is also an instrument by which we can promote racial understanding among the numerous ethnic groups that reside within our great city.
Description
The Los Angeles Korean Festival Foundation was founded in 1973, as leaders of the burgeoning Korean immigrant community of the greater Los Angeles area recognized the importance of preserving their ethnic identity and organized the Los Angeles Korean Festival. As a non-profit organization, the LAKFF organizes the annual Los Angeles Korean Festival with the assistance of its numerous sponsors. With over 400,000 attendees each year, the Los Angeles Korean Festival is one of the largest ethnic celebrations in the nation.
