Shepherd's Promise

Description

Shepherd's Promise Transitional housing program is a unique program in Central Florida that helps women with children who have become homeless. Unlike other programs, Shepherd's Promise place women in a real-life situation. Each woman shares an apartment with another mother, and through intensive case management, she learns to take responsibility for her family's needs.

Each women is required to participate in Life Skills courses, which include parenting, employability and tools for personal growth. During her stay of approximately a six month period. she is required to save a portion of her earnings toward self-sufficiency.
